Monday House Update

The house is still moving forward.  The trim guys are not quite done today.  They are buildiong columns under the arch between the living and dining rooms.  They look great!  The banister on the stairs leading to the 2nd floor is haldway in.  The iron spindles look good.  Baseboards were installed today as well as the shutters that were backordered.  Here is the link:

The house is still moving forward.  The link below will take you to the pictures from today.  Trim is still going in and should be done tomorrow.  Cabinets should also be done tomorrow.  Water meter has been installed in the basement?!  That one was new to me since I am only used to water meters being outside the house.  I was told that they have some device they plug in outside the house that will tell them how much water we have used.  Go figure.  Gutters were installed on Saturday.  Kerri picked out the paint and that should happen this week on Thursday or Friday. Pictures are at : http://cateringelegance.com/photos/082007/index.htm

We went to Open House at the kids school this evening.  They will be attending Maple Grove Elementary.  It is a brand new school.  In fact, they didn’t have all the new furniture assembled yet.  The school was VERY NICE!!  The 2 computer labs had about 20 new iMac computers each.  Hannah met her 5th grade teacher, Ms. Grimm and her band teacher.  She is wanting to learn to play the flute this year.

Luke met his 2nd grade teacher, Ms. Bartholomew.   To see info about their school, check out: http://www.waukee.k12.ia.us/maplegroveelementary/index.htm

That’s about it for today.  More tomorrow.
